ABOUT ME

My name is Abi. I am 12 years old. I have 2 siblings with different needs. My younger sister struggles with anxiety and I wanted to find a way to help her. She often likes to hide in her closet so I came up with a bunch of things she could use to comfort herself inside. Eventually we got her a bin to keep in in and now she carries it when she goes somewhere and anticipates anxiety may become overwhelming.
It is my hope to teach other children to overcome their anxiety or at least be comfortable while they wait for those feelings to pass.
My sister likes to use the note pad to communicate when things become too difficult for her to speak about.  Sometimes it is easier to just write it down.  It also makes her feel special instead of embarassed.

I look forward to the challenge of making these bins special for each child as I tweak it to their specific needs.  Please contact me if you have any questions as I really can do it however you like to help you the best that I can.
